Committed to research and innovation, the X-LAM Alliance are specialists in the design and delivery of sustainable cross laminated timber (CLT) structures across all construction sectors – from commercial and educational projects to medium rise residential accommodation.
Cross laminated timber is a structural two-way spanning timber panel that can be used to form structural walls, roof and floor panels, as well as shear walls. CLT panels are factory manufactured to exceptional levels of accuracy with minimal defects. The load-bearing panels can be used across a wide range of structural applications to create stunning interiors and structural solutions. Appealing to architects, specifiers, contractors and engineers, being a largely prefabricated offsite structural solution, cross laminated timber improves construction and project delivery timescales - providing programme and cost certainty - reducing costs and maximising efficiencies on all levels.
Using timber from sustainable sources, offering only PEFC or FSC® certified timber - the Alliance guarantees Full Chain of Custody. With over 50 in-house experts in structural analysis, building physics, planning and consultancy, the X-LAM Alliance deliver award winning projects on time and budget.
Vision & Values
As advocates of sustainable construction, the X-LAM Alliance’s aim is to educate and inform construction professionals on the benefits of using cross laminated timber as a core structural component. Through continuous investment in research and development, our mission is to push the boundaries of cross laminated timber design and construction to maximise the benefits of engineered timber technology.
